Tagged for a walk down memory lane…
Julie, over at Multiple Blessings, tagged me to do the following meme, and for those of you who know the “organized chaos,” in which I organize my life, you will probably giggle at the rules she gave me.
You are supposed to find the 6th folder in your pictures directory and post the 6th photo in it.
So here are the instructions:
-
Go to your sixth picture folder then pick your sixth picture.
-
Pray that you remember the details.
-
Tag 5 others, leave a comment to let them know they’ve been tagged.
Eek! My sixth folder in my directory? My photo upload sites are a bit of a hodge-podge, and with losing all the photos on my laptop way back when, I figured I would hit the Hubby’s computer (which is where I spend most of my online time nowadays).
The sixth folder in our “Pictures” folder was a quick folder the Hubby had made upon the birth of our son, which he titled, “Our son.” He actually downloaded most of the photos in this folder, since I was still in the hospital, so this meme was a great reminder of some wonderful memories for me.
And the sixth picture is:
My G’ma (my mom’s mom) meeting Little Dude for the first time, the morning after his birth, in 2007. I was so thrilled she made it there, since she lives fairly close to the hospital, but wasn’t so certain she would be able to come by.
What a very cool memory to stumble across! Thanks Julie!
Now, I’ve been kind-of quiet about tagging people on these, and this would be one I would totally tag Julie on, but since she tagged me…
Okay, I tag Mrs. V (because she is my sister, and this is what we do), Tendrils (because she cried the last time I didn’t tag her – yes, seriously), MamaCheryl (because even though she is busy running her neck of the woods, I miss her in the bloggy world – and I love her thoughtful posts), Dawn (because she is working on feeling motivated, since she has little eyes watching her, and I thought this might be fun for her – and her photos are always fun) and Mr. Geek (because he has been too quiet).

Wow, now I am totally curious what the 6th photo in my 6th folder would be, but I’m not near my laptop right now so can’t check it out! Will do so as soon as I get home, and it may end up as a post. Actually, I might do the 1st photo, in the 1st folder, 2nd photo in 2nd folder….
Great memory you ended up with!
I have been amazed that as people have done this meme, that the random pictures end up having so much meaning.
Oh, snap. What’s with Julie’s tagging you?!
You’ve been given a much deserved blog award!
i was curious, so i looked.
6th folder, 6th picture
yep! my dad holding my 1 hour old nephew, george….go figure
Wonderful picture! … I wish my picture had been more than just a picture of a building. *lol*
Urban Panther – I so what have tagged you, had I known your interest.
inthefastlane – I was so thrilled when I realized which folder was our sixth one, since I knew none of the pictures would be bad (although, if it was one of his naked baby pictures, I would have had to edit it).
Julie at Cool Mom – I’ll get to your tag! Thank you, thank you! Very sweet!
storm – Isn’t this fun? What a great memory!
Julie – I thought your picture was wonderful! And since you are so organized, how cool that you could go back so far!
and again – this is the 3rd meme I’ve caught that I was tagged for from a while back. Oops.
