For better or for worse…
On this day, back in 1973, these two took a risk on each other.
Aren't they too cute? I love looking back at their old pictures!
Here we are, 35 years later, and they are still walking through life together – for better and for worse, in sickness and in health.
Little Dude calls them “Ama” and “Papa” (he uses “Ama” for all three grandmas, and “Papa” for both grandpas), while I just refer to them as Mom and Dad (Mommy and Daddy if I need/want something). 
Thank you Mom and Dad, for teaching us what a marriage could be, and even sometimes, for teaching us what not to do. You have taught all three of your daughters well, and we remember both the good and bad times. Thank you for muddling through during the rough years, and showing us the true meaning of commitment. And thank you for always trying to do the best you could, together, for your daughters, and the other kids that have popped in and out of our lives.
Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad. We love you!

Awesome! And I think I have a similar picture from about three years earlier of my parents.
And btw – I seem to have no fertility issues, unless that includes being able to get pregnant at the drop of a hat, with brings with it a whole other set of “issues.”
