Pleading for sleep
Dearest, darling Little Dude -
Once again Mommy is asking you to please try and sleep during appropriate sleeping hours – preferably between 8:30 pm and 6:30 am, for certain, but a longer sleep would be beneficial for all of us, and most importantly, for you.
A 4:20 am wake-up call is a bit too early for Mommy – especially when she is all alone because Daddy had to head into work early.
I appreciate the fact that you did eventually go back to sleep, but it is difficult for Mommy to fall back to sleep and wake an hour later to begin her day at that point. And Mommy needed that hour of sleep, at least, as she had a tough night of sleep herself.
Little Dude, Mommy loves you so much, but she is puzzled by the last few days. Your sleep schedule appears to be off-kilter, and she isn’t certain how to assist you in getting back on-track. You are so tired from not getting enough sleep, and Mommy is feeling the increased frustration due to her lack of sleep, too. You are beginning to fight bedtimes and nap-times a bit, and you were enjoying them for so long – seeming to love that time to yourself before you fell asleep.
Hopefully we have a good night tonight. But if you need her, Mommy will be there of course.
Love you lots and lots little boy,
Your “Momma” (As you prefer to call me right now…)

I’m so sorry, I wish I could help! But I can related, Binkie is getting up between 4:30 and 5:30 am daily.
He just misses his momma.
Hope he sleeps for you tonight!
yawnnnnnnnnn

You know, I think it’s the time of year. My boys do this every year and every year it catches me by surprise. They’ve been getting up between 5:30 and 6:00 every day. It’s killing me. And you just know that’ll stop the first day of school. LOL!
The things moms do for their kids! My hat really goes off to moms. Keep the perspective though, because the time with these little ones is very brief. I’ve got one that just graduated from High School, and reminded me that babies just don’t keep.
Dr. Paul is right.
They grow up sooo fast!!
This weekend, conversations were about how teenagers can sleep for HOURS and still sleep some more – so, when you can… enjoy these times! Little dude – is growing up!
But in the meantime – I do hope you get a good night sleep… relax that mind. Take a deep breathe. It’ll be OK!
Oh, so been there done that! My three didn’t sleep through the night until they were each 5 years old. I would go from bed to bed settling each one down. I’d wake up completely disoriented. Of course, then they all turned into cats when they hit the teens and seemed to sleep 18 hours a day!
Hope his sleeping schedule gets back in place soon!!! Must be hard to go to work on not enough sleep!
