More chompers and words
Forgot to mention, for anyone keeping score or comparing baby milestones, the latest and greatest – which I should be recording on here, since the whole baby book project has gone to the wayside.
Within the last month, we’ve been slowly watching Little Dude’s eye teeth come in. A lot of drool, some crankiness, but overall he is doing well.
And, in the talking department, he’s added a few more phrases/words to his vocabulary.
When he is playing with one of his toy phones, he says, “hi” or “hello,” and then says something that sounds suspiciously like “how do,” which I think translates to “how are you,” since that is something I say whenever I play with him and his phones.
This past week, he tried fish (fish sticks – a special reduced allergen brand) for the first time and LOVES it. A lot. I sense we will be offering those to him once a week, as he couldn’t eat them fast enough, and with veggies, it was a nice quick meal.
At church, for communion, he no longer is carried up with us. He walks up front with us.
On Friday, he walked all of the way down our long driveway and most of the way back, so I could go get the mail.
My days of holding him are numbered, as he is getting taller and stronger everyday.
There are so many bittersweet moments in being a mom. I’m so proud and happy for each milestone, but then I realize what I’m losing, as well…

Sounds like he’s getting big and independent. Always a good thing, but also very hard… *sigh*
Oh sweet. It seems so quick, the transition from baby to toddler.
too soon…I still treasure when I get to hold Jack Jack.
